So, last night I finally got to try Herbal Essences Hello Hydration. This post > > > https://iamnaturallykinky.wordpress.com/2013/08/17/my-freshly-washed-hair/ describes my feelings about these products as I used them. Well, I’ve undone the twists and here are some pics of my hair while and after using Hello Hydration. (I also used ORS Lock and Twist Gel to help set my twists. I’ve noticed that by doing this my hair doesn’t sweat out and get puffy throughout the day.)

Loving that beautiful texture!!! While doing some reading about the conditioner AFTER I twisted my hair, I realized that one of the ingredients is sodium hydroxide – which is an alkaline found in relaxers and tends to very damaging. My hair is dry enough without products adding to it. That was kind of discouraging because overall, I liked how the products made my hair feel, as well as the shine that it added that my hair typically lacks. The good thing is that it’s one of the very last ingredients, so there’s only a small percentage of it. So, I’m not too sure if I will keep using it. I do think that I’m going to try it a few more times just to see how my hair reacts. Who knows? It just may like it.
